Police name man in V Festival death

Police have named the man who died at Stafford's V Festival this weekend as 22-year-old Timothy Brockhurst.

He was found in his tent by friends at the Weston Park festival, "unresponsive and not breathing" in the early hours of Sunday.

Despite treatment from an on-site doctor, Mr Brockhurst, from Stoke Heath, Shropshire, was pronounced dead at the scene. Staffordshire Police say they are treating the death as "unexplained but not suspicious".

A post-mortem is expected to take place next week.

Superintendent Pete Owen said: "Organisers, emergency services and all

those involved in the festival are saddened by Timothy's death, and our

sympathies are with Timothy's family and friends at this time."

A spokesman for the V Festival said: "Our team worked throughout the night to support those affected at the

festival site and we want to thank everyone for their co-operation and

support during the incident."
